The good thing to make your own headboard is definitely the possibility of creating its own atmosphere in the bedroom. You also get the possibility to create a bedroom that nobody else has. It is only your imagination when you started with this exciting project. You can choose different colors, patterns and materials. You can design the colors themselves by mixing them or buy ready paint in stores. You can also design your own headboard pattern, depending on how creative you are. how to do it

For starters, you should order the materials. It may of course be that you already have it lying, but if you have not, you will need:

  • A MDF board, a particle board or a furniture plate cut to size
  • A piece of foam rubber in similar size, possibly taken from an old foam mattress
  • Buttons
  • Fabric for gable
  • Tools for cutting, stapling and drilling.

Then attach the foam on the plate with glue. The gable is now ready to be covered with fabric. If you do not bother this process, some stores already have a headboard you can buy and overlay with an optional ingredient.
